The I3 and I4 series of signal converters share a set of features that make them powerful tools, adding great value to any data acquisition solution One of them is the ‘FORCE’ function for output signal generation.
Being able to generate an output signal, without the need of input signal, provides a series of advantages both during the construction of the control panel, at start-up, as well as in subsequent revisions and maintenances.
Are you manufacturing control panels and you need to verify the functionality before delivering to the customer? You may not have a signal generator in place to simulate your application? Do not worry, enable the ‘FORCE’ function and you can force the output signal of the signal converter.
While the ‘FORCE’ function in the I3 series can generate signal at lower (‘Force Low’) and upper (‘Force High’) limits, the I4 series also provides the possibility to force any desired value. You can then analyze the behavior of the events programmed at the remote PLC. Thanks to the ‘FORCE SET’ function (0/100% output signal) you can evaluate the response of your program in any situation. Correct wiring. Correct programming. Everything ready and checked before your control panel leaves for its destination!
Breakdowns? System checks? You do not need to carry the signal generator with you. The possibility to generate signal is already within the system! Troubleshoot your PLC inputs by acting on the remote signal converters.
Wiring checks, general operation, possibility of simulating a specific event with a specific signal value… FEMA’s I3 and I4 signal converters help you with this and many other features already built into our converters.
